While the Savior was here on earth He performed miracles and did many things that we can read about in the New Testament. Perhaps the most important things he did were, performing the Atonement and setting up His Church the way it was supposed to be set up. We read in Ephesians 2:20 that He organized it with apostles and prophets and in Ephesians 4:11-14 we also read that it was set up this way for us, the saints. Unfortunately, the people didn't listen to Jesus Christ. They ignored His teachings and even had Him killed. Thus began the attack on His Church. Lucky for us we have the scriptures, both the Book of Mormon and the Bible, to teach us about His life. We need to do as He invites us and follow Him in all things.

Footprints in the Sand
There is a poem entitled "Footprints in the Sand" that I'm sure most everyone has heard of: I'd like to share that for you all.
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”
